The VDR Vodcatcher Plugin¶
The Vodcatcher plug-in allows to parse RSS feeds containing video streams as enclosures. The plug-in will play such streams by passing them to the MPlayer plug-in.
If you're using Xineliboutput, you can choose to play back via the Xineliboutput plug-in by selecting this option in the plug-ins OSD setup.
Besides the standard RSS feeds with video enclosures, the RSS services of videocast.srtwist.net are supported too.
You should at least have the VDR Mplayer Plug-in 0.10.1 installed. It should work with 0.9.15 too, but I haven't tested this. The mplayer.sh script must support playlists (supported since version 0.8.6a by Mysterix).
You must add a source to the mplayersources.conf, as described in the README:
In order to allow the MPlayer plug-in to play back the streams passed in by the Vodcatcher, you must add the following entry to the mplayersources.conf file: /tmp;Vodcatcher;0
